Bio Shifu Melton began studying martial arts in 1982. He most recently has studied Peng Lai Wu Ji Tong Long Mun under Shifu Kevin Brazier. Go here for more information on Peng Lai Martial Arts. Primary studies in the past have included: Hung Gar Kung Fu under Shifu Doni Pulley, Hillsborough NC. Praying Mantis Kung Fu, Modern Arnis, 5 Animal Sil Lum Kung Fu and Northern Long Fist Kung Fu under Master Rick Ward, Boone NC. Shifu Melton also has training experience in: Kempo Karate, Kempo Jutsu and Jujutsu from the American Kempo Karate Association in Charlotte NC. Bagua, Hsing Yi and Tai Chi through his teacher in Boone NC, Master Rick Ward. Shifu Melton also wrestled for 4 years in High School. In 2003 Shifu Melton also began studying Kwanmukan Jujitsu under Shihan Carl Wilcox in Asheville. Shihan Wilcox invited Shifu Melton to the US Jujitsu National Championships in Fall 2003. Shifu Melton is currently ranked as a blue belt under Shihan Wilcox.
